The 2025 KTM 390 Adventure is built on an entirely new platform with several updates in chassis, suspension, and ergonomics. The new design is aimed at enhancing rider comfort and off-road capability while making it more accessible for shorter riders.

Key updates include:

• Lower Seat Height: At 830 mm, making it easier for riders of various heights to feel comfortable with the motorcycle.

• Increased Ground Clearance: At 227mm, the KTM 390 Adventure maintains one of the highest ground clearances in the segment, ensuring ease of navigating rough terrains.

• Fully Adjustable, Long-Travel Suspension: With 200mm of travel in the front and 205mm travel in the rear, the suspension is designed to absorb shocks from varied terrain, ensuring a controlled and comfortable ride both on and off the road. The compression and rebound settings can be modified based on the riders’ preferences and also the riding style & terrain.

• Narrower Bodywork: The updated fairing and fuel tank design allow better leg grip and control, particularly beneficial during off-road maneuvers. The narrow bodywork also keeps the aerodynamics in check.

This revamped design ensures that the 2025 KTM 390 Adventure is both practical for everyday touring and capable of handling challenging terrain.

The all-new 399cc powerplant in the KTM 390 Adventure is engineered for enhanced performance.

• Maximum Power: 46 PS @ 8500 rpm, and this is the highest in its class. (+3 PS and 500 rpm earlier from the previous model)

• Maximum Torque: 39 Nm @ 6500 rpm, ensuring better acceleration and low-end grunt. (+2 Nm and 500 rpm earlier from the previous model)

• Refined Climbing Ability: The motorcycle boasts a 22° climbing ability, the steepest in its class, making it adept at handling hilly and rugged terrains. The vehicle will demand rider skills for steeper inclines.

The 2025 KTM 390 Adventure is available in two variants, each catering to different rider preferences:

• KTM 390 Adventure: Fully loaded, touring & off-road capable motorcycle with premium features such as 21”/17” tubeless spoke wheels, Cornering MTC (Motorcycle Traction Control), Quickshifter+, 3 Ride modes, Cruise Control, Cornering ABS, Off-road ABS, and a 5” TFT Display.

• KTM 390 Adventure X: Touring focused 390, with Off-road ABS, Quickshifter+, a 5” TFT Display, and 19”/17” tubeless alloy wheels.

Yes, the KTM 390 Adventure comes with 21”/17” Tubeless Spoke Rims at no extra cost, making it one of the few adventure bikes in its segment to offer this feature.

For the KTM 390 Adventure X and KTM 250 Adventure, the setup includes 19”/17” tubeless tires with alloy wheels. KTM does not recommend retrofitting spoke wheels on the alloy wheel variants.

The underbelly exhaust system was introduced to:

• Reduce weight by 2 kg, contributing to a better power-to-weight ratio.
• Improve mass centralization, ensuring balanced weight distribution.
• Enhance off-road handling

The system is built with high-grade stainless steel, ensuring durability even under extreme conditions.

To prevent damage, all KTM 390 Adventure models come with an engine protection pan, shielding both the exhaust and the engine from rocks, debris, and potential impacts.

The core difference between the KTM 390 Adventure (India Spec) and the R variant is in the suspension setup and wheels.

•The R variant is 30mm higher in terms of suspension travel and ground clearance, making it more off-road focused.
•The styling of the R variant is unique, designed for extreme off-road riding.

KTM India decided not to launch the 390 Adventure R due to two main reasons:

1. Tubeless Spoke Wheels: The R variant comes with tube-type spoke wheels as it is designed for off-road conditions. Since most Indian riders spend more time on tarmac, KTM provided tubeless spoke wheels on the KTM 390 Adventure, ensuring better versatility.
2.Suspension: The KTM 390 ADVENTURE suspension setup optimized for both touring and off-roading. This keeps the seat height at 830mm.
